“When I learned about Dr. Chase’s Life Story Board, it really opened up so many possibilities, as a meaningful way for children to share their own experiences, instead of relying on proxy reporters like parents or teachers. This has been a central commitment in my social work practice, and to do so in an honest, rights respecting way, to hear directly from children about their lives.
I didn’t really know how to do that in research. but when I learned about LSB, that for me was everything, because it was a mechanism, a methodology for children to share those really critical experiences and provide a bit of a window into their lives that we often don’t explore for a variety of reasons in research, but also in practice.” [July 18, 2025]
