A small Life Story Board Practice Group began in 2023 following a training workshop at University of Manitoba Faculty of Social Work in Winnipeg. The practice group meets monthly, and others have joined elsewhere on Zoom, to share their experience integrating LSB into their setting and practice with clients primarily, and related research areas. Out of LSB Practice Group have come impressions and insights, questions and ideas worth sharing with other users.
The LSB Practice Group holds a Zoom meeting the fourth Monday of each month. In-person meeting can be arranged, at Klinic Health Centre, Winnipeg. Times may change and meetings added. For information contact . Rob Chase.

Ashley Stewart-Tufescu, PhD, RSW is a Registered Social Worker and Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Manitoba, and Research Scientist with the Children’s Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba. Her research focuses on violence prevention initiatives in diverse and challenging contexts characterized by conflict, trauma, environmental disaster, and resource insecurity. As a Registered Social Worker, she has direct practice experience in international child protection. She co-leads funded research projects utilizing the Life Story Board in Cox Bazar, Bangladesh using LSB to interview Rohingyan children (SSHRC).
In 2021 Dr. Stewart-Tufescu incorporated the LSB in her graduate studies teaching (“Application & Critique of Theory & Research in Social Work with Individuals & Families Event” SWRK-7640-A01), and co-facilitates with Rob Chase an annual LSB training workshop at the Faculty of Social Work.
